The Friends of Shepherdstown Library invite community members to celebrate “Jolabokaflod” with the FOSL Books & Chocolates Sale from December 1st-3rd.

Jolabokaflod is the Icelandic tradition of exchanging books and chocolates with family and friends on Christmas Eve. Families spend the cozy evening reading together and enjoying delicious chocolates. You can purchase gently used books and tasty chocolates at the holiday Books & Chocolates Sale from 5-7 pm on Friday Dec. 1, 10-5 on Saturday, Dec. 2, and 10-3 on Sunday, Dec. 3. Friends of Shepherdstown Library tote bags will also be available for sale. You can fill a tote bag with books for $5 with your purchase. The sale will be held in the Commons Room at the Shepherdstown Public Library at 145 Higbee Lane. Book donations are being accepted at the Library.
