Are you interested in the art of beekeeping?
The Shepherdstown Library will be hosting a free beginner beekeeping class series every Monday in November! The classes are led by Jason Murphy of Hive House Apiaries. Classes will be held every Monday evening (Nov. 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th) starting at 6:30 pm in the Commons Room at the library.
This progressive course is designed to provide anyone with the necessary knowledge to start their own journey into keeping bees and will, week by week, cover history, necessary equipment, bee biology, hive inspections, and hive health practices.
