SPL Patio Series: Author Leah Rampy

June 3 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The “Patio Series” is a unique program at our small-town public library that brings the community together for relaxed, salon-style events on our library’s outdoor patio. Each session features a local resident who shares their insights and experiences on a specific topic, encouraging open questions and lively discussions among attendees.

Join us outdoors on the patio as we host a conversation with Leah Rampy in a salon-like gathering. Leah is a writer, retreat leader, speaker, and Shepherdstown resident. She has led programs for Lifelong Learning and is active in the community. Her book, Earth and Soul: Reweaving Connections amid Climate Chaos, was published in February. Her second book, The Spiritual Wisdom of Trees co-authored with Beth Norcross, will be published by Broadleaf Books in Spring 2025. Learn more about Leah on her website here.

Reconnecting to Earth: It Matters More than Ever

We live amid accelerating climate chaos and biodiversity loss. In this conversation, we’ll explore why and how we might begin healing our broken relationships with nature, examine the potential for learning from the world’s wisdom, and consider the possibilities of a future of mutual well-being.
