This year’s theme is “Tails & Tales,” and we are looking forward to sharing our favorite animal-themed stories. Throughout the summer, we will be bringing you and your kids opportunities to learn about real animals with help from our partners at PVAS and Solsbury Hill Farms. Kids and parents will also get a chance to do some animal-themed centering stretching during Animal Yoga class with Jala Yoga.

Plus, Take-&-Makes for kids every week from June 12 to August 13.

And, don’t forget to join us every Thursday at 10:00 am for story times on the lawn at Trinity Episcopal Church!

Drop by the library or click here for more information about the summer reading program schedule and to download your reading log!

Adults can join in the summer reading fun with Tails & Tales Bingo. Pick up your
Bingo Card from the library, or download here. Each BINGO earns an entry,
up to five (5) entries, into a raffle for the end of the program prize! Bingo cards
can be returned to the library or emailed to sarah.brumback@martin.lib.wv.us.

In line with our summer reading theme the Shepherdstown Public Library is holding
a collection drive for the Animal Welfare Society during the month of July. Donations
can be dropped off at the library during operating hours. You can find the AWS wish
list here. Stay tuned for videos on our Facebook page with instructions on how to
make homemade animal toys that you can donate!
