The mission of the Shepherdstown Public Library is to inspire a lifelong love of reading and literacy by nurturing curiosity and fostering a deep appreciation for books from an early age. The library seeks to engage teens and young adults with engaging programs, enriching resources, and a welcoming environment.
Our regular programs for teens and young adults include Teen Art Club, Youth Chess Club, Middle School Math Club, and Middle School Book Club. Kanopy offers a wide selection of engaging films, documentaries, and educational content tailored for kids ages 12-18. With access to thought-provoking movies, animated classics, and teen-friendly series, Kanopy provides a safe and enriching platform for teens to explore various genres and topics. The service is also a great resource for school projects, offering documentaries on science, history, and social issues, helping teens broaden their perspectives while enjoying quality entertainment.

WVTutor.com is an online platform that provides free tutoring services to students in West Virginia. It offers personalized, one-on-one academic support in subjects such as math, science, reading, and writing, helping students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Kids can use WVTutor.com by accessing live tutors, submitting homework questions, or reviewing lessons and educational materials at their own pace. This service is designed to help students strengthen their understanding of key concepts, improve their grades, and build confidence in their academic abilities.
