The role of the children’s department of the Shepherdstown Public Library is to provide a “Gateway to Learning.” In this spirit, the SPL Children’s Library maintains a close relationship with the schools and provides literacy-based activities and resources for the children and young adults in our community.
Regular Story Hours/Library Visits
Dates and times for the following services will be adjusted, as necessary, for COVID-19.
Beginning each year in September and January, our library offers a weekly story time for each of these groups: “Lap Babies,” “Time for Twos,” and “Three-Five Year Old.”
The library welcomes visits from homeschoolers, scout troops, preschools, Shepherdstown Elementary School students, and field trips from other schools. If your group would like to schedule a story time or other library visit, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
