Explore secular mindfulness and meditation with Kath Meadows of Moving Mountains Yoga. Each session will include guided meditation, mindfulness topics, and time for discussion. All levels welcome. No experience required. This is a free program. For ages 18 and up. Meets in the Library Commons Room.

Create a craft with us!  Drop in at any point between 4 and 5:30pm.  This week's project is tissue paper "stained glass" windows.  This program is best for ages 5 and up.  Meets in the Children's Library. 

Welcome to the Library's weekly STEM Club!  This week's activity is building boats from aluminum foil and then experimenting to discover how much weight they hold.  Kids can then analyze their design and build a new construction that may hold more weight!  Best for ages 7 and up.

Come to the Shepherdstown Library for stories, rhymes, and a craft. Best for ages 3-6.

Let's learn to crochet!  This beginner's class will teach tweens and teens the basic steps necessary to create a complete crochet project.  Supplies will be provided by the library.  Ages 11-18. ** UPDATE: Class Full ** (Keep an eye out for more classes in February!) For ages 10-14.  Kids and teens will learn the best techniques for creating watercolor paintings!  This class is taught by Natalie Edwards.  Sign up is required: send an email to Youth Librarian, Rachel Heller at rachel@sheplibrary.org.

John Gilstrap, a friend of the library and best-selling author of the Victoria Emerson and Jonathan Grave thrillers, will be discussing the art of writing and navigating the publishing world.  Ages 18+. Meets in the Commons Room.

This is a very special story time hosted and presented by the local girl scouts.  Best for ages 3-6.

Addison Reese, librarian and a member of the county Historic Landmarks Commission, presents a primer on finding and using local genealogical resources and property records.  All ages are welcome. Meets in the Commons Room.
