Library cards are free!  You must be at least 5 years old and a resident of Jefferson, Berkeley or Morgan County, WV. Any residents who live out-of-state may get a card for a $10 yearly fee.  Stop by the library with proof of residence and a staff member will help you sign up in minutes. You’ll be able to check out materials on the same day!

Library cards for Ages 5 – 13 must have a parent or guardian as the person responsible for the fee, fines, and/or charges on the account.

With your library card, you’ll be able to:

  1. Create an account in our Library Catalog to search for books, put materials on hold, and renew your library loans. READ MORE HERE IN OUR “HOW DO I” section.
  2. Check out books, audiobooks, eBooks, DVDs for 3 weeks.
  3. Access books and materials from 9 libraries in the Eastern Panhandle.
  4. Return overdue materials on Fine Fee Fridays and owe no late fees.
  5. Access e-Books, audiobooks through the Libby app on your computer, phone, or tablet.
  6. Stream movies, documentaries, and kid’s programming through the Kanopy App.
